Seo In-young Finalizes Amicable Divorce

Seo In-young has finalized her divorce.

On the 28th, Seo In-young's agency, SW Entertainment, announced, "Seo In-young has recently completed an amicable divorce. As previously reported by various media outlets, there were no issues such as fault in the divorce process." They further stated, "The two have decided to end their marriage on good terms and support each other's future paths."

The agency added, "Seo In-young is currently preparing for a comeback early next year. Along with her return to her main career, she is also preparing to enter the global markets, including the U.S., Japan, and China. We apologize to the fans who were concerned by recent reports." They concluded by asking for continued support for Seo In-young as she resumes her activities.

Previously, Seo In-young married businessman A in February last year, but the first rumors of divorce surfaced in September, just seven months later. Reports emerged that A had filed for divorce, though the reasons were not disclosed. At the time, Seo In-young acknowledged marital discord in an interview but denied the divorce rumors.

In March, news broke that Seo In-young had filed for divorce against A. It was reported that the fault lay with her husband, but Seo In-young's side stated, "It's difficult to comment at this time," and did not provide further details. Subsequently, Seo In-young fueled the second wave of divorce rumors by setting Big Bang's 'LOSER' as the background music on her personal social media and deleting wedding photos and pictures with A.

Seo In-young debuted in 2002 with the group Jewelry, producing hits like 'One More Time.' She later gained popularity as a solo artist with the hit song 'Cinderella.' Currently, she is preparing for an album release early next year, collaborating with Yoon Il-sang and lyricist Choi Eun-ha.
