TSM Entertainment Denies Allegations by Singer Eun Ga-eun Over Contract Termination
The agency stated, "Regarding the allegations of unpaid settlement fees, we have not withheld a single penny. In fact, recent settlement checks revealed that we have overpaid." They further claimed, "We have also supported Eun Ga-eun with loans and other requests beyond the settlement fees."
TSM Entertainment explained, "In February, both parties signed a confirmation letter verifying that there were no breaches of contractual obligations, including settlement issues." They emphasized, "Since then, we have diligently paid all settlement fees without omission, following the agreed procedures."
The agency also addressed Eun Ga-eun's claim that they failed to provide requested documentation, labeling it as "blatantly false." They clarified, "We have provided monthly settlement details, and upon her specific request, we compiled and delivered detailed settlement evidence last week." Additionally, they noted, "During the contract renewal in February, we agreed to gradually increase Eun Ga-eun's income distribution ratio."
Furthermore, TSM Entertainment denied any interference with Eun Ga-eun's schedule or negligence in their duties. They stated, "Alongside our legal advisor, Attorney Lee Young-wook, we have reviewed the facts and related materials, confirming that we have adhered to the contract faithfully."
In conclusion, the agency expressed, "We have consistently fulfilled our obligations as an exclusive agency and will continue to do so. We hope that similar incidents, such as external tampering with exclusive contracts, do not recur."
Earlier that day, Eun Ga-eun announced her intention to terminate her contract with TSM Entertainment, citing breaches of contract. Her legal representative, Attorney Lim Sa-ra from Law Firm Lim, stated, "Eun Ga-eun is preparing a lawsuit against TSM Entertainment for contract termination due to interference with her schedule and lack of transparency in settlement details." Attorney Lim added, "Despite requesting her settlement details long ago, she has not received them from the agency."
TSM Entertainment reiterated, "We have not received any termination notice or lawsuit as of this moment, and we learned about the termination through news articles."
The agency concluded, "We have extended the contract period with Eun Ga-eun until June 2028, with a mutual agreement to increase her income distribution ratio in stages. As Eun Ga-eun continues to grow and become more active with us, we hope that incidents involving external tampering with exclusive contracts do not happen again."
