Izna Sets Sights on Music Show Wins and Rookie Awards

The newly debuted K-pop group Izna has expressed their aspirations for topping music charts and winning rookie awards.

Izna, consisting of members Coco, Mai, Yusarang, Bang Jimin, Yoon Ji-yoon, Choi Jung-eun, and Jung Sebi, held their debut showcase on the afternoon of the 25th to celebrate the release of their first mini-album 'N/a'.

During the debut showcase, Coco shared her excitement, saying, "I can't believe we're finally debuting after dreaming about it for so long. We will show our best to everyone who has been waiting for us." Mai added, "I'm grateful to everyone who helped us get here. We've worked hard to show our growth since Mnet's 'I-LAND 2'." Jung Sebi expressed, "Standing here with my sisters who share the same goal feels like a dream. We've prepared to show our amazing chemistry, so please give us your love and support."

Bang Jimin spoke about their title track 'izna', saying, "When I first heard the song, I loved it. It's a song that suits all seven of us, and we prepared hard to show our fans a great performance."

Izna also discussed working with renowned producer Teddy, known for his work with groups like BLACKPINK and BIGBANG. Yoon Ji-yoon shared, "We received a lot of help from producer Teddy while preparing for our debut. He told us that a good work comes from being in sync with each other. He incorporated our musical tastes into the album."

Yusarang added, "It was a great honor to work with him. From the first meeting, he warmly welcomed us and helped us produce a result that reflects our color. We are grateful for his support."

Bang Jimin also mentioned, "Working with Teddy, he put a lot of effort into capturing Izna's unique color and each member's charm. We want to continue showing new sides of ourselves as a group."

When asked about their role models, Choi Jung-eun said, "We practice by watching many senior artists, especially BLACKPINK. Their perfect performances inspire us, and we strive to learn from them to showcase our unique style."

Izna expressed their joy about debuting on the '2024 MAMA AWARDS' stage, where BLACKPINK's Rosé has performed. Jung Sebi said, "It was an honor to debut on such a big stage. Hearing the fans' cheers was overwhelming, and it felt like a dream."

Bang Jimin shared their future goals, saying, "We debuted at the MAMA Awards, and next year, we hope to win the rookie award there. We also want to meet fans worldwide." She added, "We shine the brightest on stage and aspire to be known as 'stage geniuses'." Coco expressed her personal goal, "I want us to achieve first and second place on music shows."

Izna, formed through Mnet's survival program 'I-LAND 2', consists of seven members. Their debut mini-album 'N/a' symbolizes the limitless potential of young girls challenging a new world beyond their limits. The album includes five tracks: the title track 'IZNA', 'TIMEBOMB', 'IWALY (I will always love you)', 'DRIP', and 'FAKE IT'. The title track 'IZNA' is a hip-hop song with an addictive chorus and minimal beat.

Izna's debut mini-album 'N/a' will be released on various music platforms at 6 PM on the 25th.
