ATEEZ Embraces Self-Love with New Album 'GOLDEN HOUR: Part.2'
ATEEZ returns with a powerful message of self-love.
The group, consisting of members Yunho, Seonghwa, San, Yeosang, Hongjoong, Wooyoung, Jongho, and Mingi, held a press conference at Lotte Hotel World in Jamsil-dong, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 14th to discuss their upcoming mini-album 'GOLDEN HOUR: Part.2'. During the event, San introduced the title track 'Ice On My Teeth', explaining, "This album captures moments of love surrounding ATEEZ. Love comes in many forms, and this time, we focused on the love that surrounds us."
Yunho added, "We wanted to encapsulate the true value of our activities so far," while Hongjoong chimed in, "It's a song that expresses confidence in the path we've walked."
Hongjoong further shared, "We've performed in large venues we've always dreamed of and had new experiences. We were so focused on moving forward and working hard that we realized we weren't fully expressing our value."
He continued, "We started preparing this title track with the thought that recognizing and showcasing our value is also about cherishing the value of our fans who love us."
Seonghwa, when asked about the pressure of achieving good results following their previous success, responded confidently, "While good results would be nice, none of the members are fixated on them. Regardless of the outcome, we've done our best, and that's part of what makes ATEEZ so lovable." The group also discussed their performance at 'Citi Field' in New York, which garnered attention for their impressive live performance despite heavy rain. San recounted, "We were performing at Citi Field recently, and the weather was bad, causing delays. However, we had to finish the performance on time."
He added, "We decided to push through and show everything we had. Despite many moments where we could have slipped and gotten hurt, we focused on the stage. The members' dedication to performing for the audience, even in the rain, was inspiring, and it felt like we had taken a step forward." Hongjoong also addressed the upcoming contract renewal season, saying, "We're approaching our 7th anniversary next year, and we've been having many discussions with the members and the company. What I can say is that we still have so much we want to show."
He continued, "Looking at our story so far, there's an endless amount we can still present. We aim to be artists who continue to show and release new things for a long time. We have many discussions with this goal in mind, and there's a lot we want to show as ATEEZ. We'll share good news as soon as we have it."
ATEEZ returns with their 11th mini-album just six months after releasing 'GOLDEN HOUR: Part.1' in May. The new album includes the title track 'Ice On My Teeth' along with five other tracks: 'DEEP DIVE', 'Scene 1: Value', 'Man on Fire', 'Selfish Waltz', and 'Enough'.
ATEEZ's mini-album 'GOLDEN HOUR: Part.2' is set to be released on the 15th at 2 PM.
