Actor Choi Hyun-wook Faces New Controversy Over Instagram Post

Actor Choi Hyun-wook, who previously made headlines last year for being spotted at a club and smoking in public, is once again embroiled in controversy.

On the 13th, Choi posted a photo of a bear-shaped prop on his Instagram story, tagging four accounts. The prop, made of reflective material, appeared to show Choi taking a photo with his phone while not wearing clothes. Observers noted that he seemed to be without even underwear, leading to comments questioning his judgment.

Following the backlash, Choi quickly deleted the photo. However, screenshots had already spread across social media, keeping the controversy alive.

Born in 2002, Choi Hyun-wook debuted in the 2019 web drama 'Real:Time:Love' and gained significant recognition with his role in the 2022 tvN drama 'Twenty-Five Twenty-One.' Despite his rising fame, he faced criticism last year for littering cigarette butts, for which he issued an apology through his agency. He also appeared in NewJeans' 'Ditto' music video.

Choi is set to take on his first lead role in the upcoming drama 'The Guy is That Guy,' where he will star alongside actress Moon Ga-young in a romance with a five-year age difference.
