Actress Han So-hee Corrects Age, Reveals True Birth Year Amidst Personal Challenges
Actress Han So-hee has clarified her actual birth year, confirming she was born in 1993, making her 31 years old this year. Previously, her profile listed her birth year as 1994, but recent reports have corrected this information. This revelation places her as a year older than her close friend, actress Jeon Jong-seo, and the same age as singer-actress IU and Jung Eun-ji. According to a comprehensive report by TenAsia on the 1st, Han So-hee's age was previously misreported as 1994, but she is indeed a 1993-born. This correction comes after TenAsia's exclusive report on the 31st. Han So-hee and Jeon Jong-seo have been known as close friends in the entertainment industry, often showcasing their friendship publicly. Despite the age correction, their bond is expected to remain strong. Han So-hee is now recognized as the same age as other 1993-born celebrities such as IU, Jung Eun-ji, actress Gong Seung-yeon, and Girl's Day's Minah. Through her agency, 9ato Entertainment, Han So-hee explained why she had to live as a 1994-born. The reason traces back to her mother's fraud charges, which disrupted her schooling. During her elementary school years, Han So-hee was unable to attend school normally due to her mother's legal issues, resuming her education a year later. On the 31st of last month, Han So-hee shared with TenAsia, "When I was supposed to enter the fourth grade, I was forced to move to Ulsan due to my mother's warrant. I spent a year at home without attending school, and after my mother was incarcerated, I returned to Wonju to re-enroll in the fourth grade," revealing her experience of being in the same grade as those born in 1994 since elementary school. Han So-hee's mother, identified as Shin, is currently incarcerated. She was arrested on September 3rd for operating illegal gambling sites in 12 PC rooms in the Wonju area from December 2022 to the end of last month. Meanwhile, Han So-hee continues to expand her career. She stars as Yoon Chae-ok in the Netflix series 'Gyeongseong Creature 2,' which premiered on the 27th of last month. Additionally, she made her film debut in 'Snowfall' (directed by Yoon Soo-ik), released on the 23rd, where she plays the role of 'Seol-i,' a high-teen star, delivering a poetic and sensuous performance.
