Experience the Magic of 'Aladdin' at the Exclusive Pop-Up Store in Seoul
The enchanting world of 'Aladdin,' once a fantasy enjoyed on screen, is now available to experience beyond the stage. Adding to the excitement, there's an opportunity to win premiere tickets through a special event. On the 1st of this month, a 'Aladdin' pop-up store opened on the 5th floor of The Hyundai Seoul at Epic Seoul. This marks the first collaboration between The Hyundai Seoul pop-up store and the musical genre, with 'Aladdin' leading the way. The musical, set to premiere next month, features a star-studded cast including Kim Junsu, Jung Sung-hwa, and Lee Sung-kyung. From the entrance, the 'Aladdin' pop-up store captivates visitors with its 'Cave of Wonders' entrance, designed as a tiger's mouth. The signature purple hue adds a romantic ambiance. Inside, a 2-meter golden lamp, crafted to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Broadway premiere, draws visitors' attention. This lamp is designed identically to the one used in the actual performance, with its dazzling golden decorations enhancing the space's allure. In the Jasmine Zone, the stage art design stands out. The floor and walls feature unique patterns inspired by Morocco, designed by a performing arts expert. The concept zone displays decorations that recreate iconic scenes from the musical and film, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the storyline. The 'Aladdin' OST playing in the background adds to the romantic atmosphere. The mesmerizing patterns and designs of the Kingdom of Agrabah are reflected throughout the space. Influenced by Middle Eastern and Indian aesthetics, the design boasts intricate details, showcasing both opulence and uniqueness. These props are exclusively displayed in the enchanting space of 'Aladdin,' offering visitors the chance to capture unique life shots against a special backdrop. Stage costumes of Aladdin, Genie, Jasmine, and Jafar, along with Jasmine's accessories, are also on display. The intricate beadwork and fabric textures of the costumes, seen up close, are expected to leave a lasting impression on visitors. Additionally, an interactive experience zone is available for visitors. In the space where they can leave wishes for Genie, visitors can write wish cards and hang them on the wish wall. Actors playing Genie will select winners to receive tickets to the Korean premiere. Moreover, a variety of products, including 12 types of Broadway merchandise, limited edition posters, and postcard books, are randomly offered. The 'Aladdin' pop-up store, open ahead of its premiere at the Charlotte Theater on the 22nd of next month, can be accessed through Naver's advance reservation and on-site booking. As a globally acclaimed production making its debut in Korea, this pop-up store presents an unmissable opportunity.
