Actor Noh Sang-hyun Reminisces College Days While Filming 'Love in the Big City'
Actor Noh Sang-hyun shared that filming 'Love in the Big City' brought back memories of his college days.

On the 24th, Noh Sang-hyun conducted an interview at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, where he shared various stories related to the movie 'Love in the Big City'.

'Love in the Big City' is based on the novel by author Park Sang-young and depicts the unique love story of Jae-hee (played by Kim Go-eun), a free spirit who knows no bounds, and Heung-soo (played by Noh Sang-hyun), who is accustomed to distancing himself from the world. The film was invited to the 49th Toronto International Film Festival, one of the world's four major international film festivals, where it received critical acclaim.

The movie covers the 13-year narrative of Heung-soo and Jae-hee from ages 20 to 33. Noh Sang-hyun, whose age closely matches that of Heung-soo, said, "Heung-soo's college days in the movie were also my college days. There were many details like that. The music in the club, the Miss A dance I performed, and the songs from that era brought back those memories."

In the film, Heung-soo is a friend who enjoys going to clubs almost every day with Jae-hee. When asked if his actual college life was different, Noh Sang-hyun replied, "I didn't not have fun. Everyone enjoys drinking and having fun during their college days. I was in the U.S., but there was a party culture, so I enjoyed it." He added with a laugh, "The Itaewon club I visited for research was more about observing and understanding the atmosphere of the LGBTQ+ community rather than just having fun."

'Love in the Big City' is set to be released on the 1st of next month.
