IU Unveils Unreleased Self-Composed Song at 2024 World Tour Encore Concert
Singer IU revealed an unreleased self-composed song during her concert.

On the evening of the 22nd, IU held the '2024 IU HEREH WORLD TOUR CONCERT ENCORE: THE WINNING' at Seoul World Cup Stadium.

Appearing with a blue electric guitar, IU performed her self-composed song 'Bye Summer,' featuring lyrical lines such as 'Goodbye my long summer, don't look back / Let's let it go without difficult words / The night that followed us as we ran far / Like a summer day that started without any warning.' The stage was dramatically lit with fireworks before going dark, symbolizing a fiery farewell to the hot summer.

Regarding the song, IU commented, 'I sang a new song. During this tour, I felt like I experienced the longest summer of my life. Except for Seoul and Yokohama, most of the cities were hot, so it felt like summer from March when the tour started. It was an exceptionally long summer, and although I usually dislike summer, I loved this one.'

She continued, 'I didn't expect summer to leave just in time for the Sangam concert. It was hot during the day, but we had clear skies in the evening. The song is about saying 'I loved you, summer' as it leaves. Composer Seo Dong-hwan wrote 'Love Wins All,' and I diligently wrote the lyrics.'

IU began her world tour on March 2nd at KSPO DOME in Songpa-gu, Seoul, visiting 18 cities across continents. The encore concert, held on September 21st and 22nd, marked the end of her world tour, attracting around 100,000 attendees over the two days. To enhance the fan experience, IU provided individual cushions and binoculars for all attendees.
