The film 'Veteran 2' (directed by Ryoo Seung-wan), which premiered on the 13th, is an action crime investigation drama where veteran detective Seo Do-cheol (played by Hwang Jung-min) teams up with rookie detective Park Sun-woo (played by Jung Hae-in) to chase a notorious serial killer.
In 'Veteran 2', Jung Hae-in portrays Park Sun-woo, a passionate rookie detective eager to catch criminals. While he shows respect for Seo Do-cheol and fulfills his role as the team's youngest member, he also adds a layer of tension with his mysterious demeanor.
Jung Hae-in perfectly embodies his first villain character, Park Sun-woo, making him a key highlight of 'Veteran 2'. His nuanced performance, especially through his eyes and voice, has earned him nicknames like 'pupil acting' and 'eye light acting'. His portrayal of Park Sun-woo, who is torn between justice and conviction, showcases expressions, tones, and gestures that are new to Jung Hae-in's repertoire, consistently surprising the audience.
Jung Hae-in also excels in Ryoo Seung-wan's signature action scenes, earning praise for his realistic and dynamic action sequences. Dubbed 'orthopedic action' for its bone-crunching realism, Jung Hae-in's dedication to learning mixed martial arts and jiu-jitsu for the role is evident, enhancing the film's immersion.
Having previously showcased his action skills in series like 'D.P.' and 'Connect', Jung Hae-in proves his growth on the big screen with 'Veteran 2', expanding his acting spectrum. Additionally, he is currently displaying his romantic side in tvN's 'Mom's Friend's Son', offering the public a diverse range of performances.
