Previously, Song Ho-young (played by Kim Do-hoon), feeling indescribable emptiness and anger due to the unbelievable acquittal of Kim Sang-hyuk (played by Heo Nam-joon), headed to Kim Kang-heon's house with a gun he received from Jo Mi-yeon's (played by Baek Joo-hee) subordinate. At the dinner table with those responsible for his mother's death, Song Ho-young exploded with pent-up resentment when provoked by Kim Sang-hyuk.

With nowhere left to run, Song Ho-young pointed the gun at Kim Sang-hyuk, but Ma Ji-young (played by Jung Ae-yeon), who had learned the truth about her son's death from prosecutor Kang So-young (played by Jung Eun-chae), appeared and pulled the trigger on Song Ho-young, escalating the situation to a catastrophe.
