Kim Ji-woo Manages Health with Diet Amidst Busy Performance Schedule
Actress Kim Ji-woo has revealed that she is managing her health through a specialized diet amidst her busy performance schedule.

On the 2nd, we met with actress Kim Ji-woo at the EMK Musical Company office in Dogok-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

Kim Ji-woo is playing the role of Oscar in the musical 'The Rose of Versailles.' Oscar is the youngest daughter of the Jarjayes family, raised as a son to become a royal guard officer, protecting Marie Antoinette. Kim Ji-woo is triple cast in the role alongside Ok Joo-hyun and Jung Yoo-ji.

Currently, Kim Ji-woo is busy with consecutive projects. Regarding her method of maintaining stamina, she said, "All actors have to perform high-difficulty songs. Unintentionally, I started following a specialized diet. It seems to make my body feel more comfortable and better. I started it on the recommendation of (Ok) Joo-hyun." She added, "I try not to take medicine while managing my body. If I take medicine, my throat feels better temporarily, but I end up overusing it, which often leads to being unable to recover the next day. Our team shares a lot about rest and vocal techniques."

Kim Ji-woo laughed, saying, "I like meat, but it doesn't suit my body type; seafood is better for me. I got caught eating meat by Joo-hyun unnie last time." She continued, "Unnie said that glutinous rice is good for me and sent a box of mugwort rice cakes made from glutinous rice to my house. She told me to keep them in the freezer and take out one at a time. I take out two in the morning, eat one before leaving, and another during intermission." She expressed her gratitude to Ok Joo-hyun.

The original musical 'The Rose of Versailles' is based on the manga by Riyoko Ikeda, considered one of the greatest masterpieces. Through the fictional character Oscar, it portrays true freedom, love, and humanity against the backdrop of the French Revolution. The original work, a grand epic of love and revolution amidst historical turmoil, has sold over 20 million copies since its serialization in 1972.

'The Rose of Versailles' will be performed at the Chungmu Art Center Grand Theater in Seoul until October 13.
