Remembering Actress Yoo Joo-eun: Two Years After Her Passing
Actress Yoo Joo-eun passed away two years ago. On August 29, 2022, Yoo Joo-eun ended her life at the age of 28.
Her older brother revealed her suicide note on her account on the morning of the 29th. In her note, Yoo Joo-eun wrote, "I have lived a life of overwhelming happiness," and "I wanted to act so much. It might have been my everything and a part of me. But living that life wasn't easy."
Yoo Joo-eun expressed her gratitude, saying, "To my beloved family, friends, and my loves, thank you so much for cherishing and loving me. That was my strength and my smile." She continued, "To all the precious relationships I had, especially my teachers, I was very grateful and respected you all."
She particularly addressed her family, saying, "I'm sorry for going first. Especially to mom, dad, grandma, and brother, I'm the most sorry. Life without me might feel empty, but please live bravely. I'll be watching over you. Don't cry. It will harm your health." Born in 1995, Yoo Joo-eun graduated from Kaywon High School of Arts' Department of Theater and Film and the Korea National University of Arts' School of Drama. She debuted in the 2018 tvN drama 'Big Forest' and pursued her acting dreams in TV Chosun's drama 'Joseon Survival.' She also showcased her limitless potential by appearing in independent films featured at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival.
Yoo Joo-eun's funeral was held on August 31, 2022, and she was cremated at Yongin Baekwoon Forest and laid to rest at Eden Paradise Memorial Park.
