Seo Ye-ji Makes First Public Appearance in Two Years Amid Gaslighting Controversy

Actress Seo Ye-ji has made her first official public appearance in two years following a gaslighting controversy. She drew attention with her bright smile and cheerful demeanor, leaving past controversies behind.

On the morning of the 23rd, Seo Ye-ji attended a commemorative event for a makeup brand's pop-up store held at Lotte Department Store in Jung-gu, Seoul.

Seo Ye-ji appeared at the event wearing a white blouse with a deep V-neckline and a red mini skirt adorned with a rose decoration. She highlighted her fair skin with bold red lipstick and added a cute touch with a ribbon pin in her half-up hairstyle.

Seo Ye-ji greeted the press with hand waves and various poses, including a cheek heart gesture.

In April 2021, Seo Ye-ji was embroiled in a gaslighting controversy. Allegations surfaced that she manipulated actor Kim Jung-hyun's behavior and speech during their past relationship. It was reported that Kim Jung-hyun exhibited irrational behavior, such as refusing any physical contact with his co-star during the filming of the drama 'Time.' Rumors suggested that his relationship with Seo Ye-ji was the cause of this behavior.

Following this, Seo Ye-ji faced various other controversies, including allegations of mistreatment of staff, school violence, academic fraud, and lying. Due to the fallout from these controversies, Seo Ye-ji halted her entertainment activities for a while. Although she made a comeback with the tvN drama 'Eve' in 2022, public opinion remained harsh.

Seo Ye-ji's exclusive contract with her agency, Gold Medalist, expired on November 30 last year. In June, she signed an exclusive contract with Sublime, which represents stars like Song Kang-ho, Ko So-young, EXID's Hani (Ahn Hee-yeon), and Hyeri, signaling her return to the entertainment industry. Recently, she has been communicating with fans through posts on Instagram.
