Park So-young is dating former professional baseball player Moon Kyung-chan
On the 22nd, Park So-young revealed on SBS PowerFM's 'Bae Sung-jae's Ten' that she recently started dating. 'I have a boyfriend now,' she said.
DJ Bae Sung-jae asked, 'Is he a star couple?' Park So-young replied, 'He is not a celebrity, but he was a baseball player who retired this year. It's Moon Kyung-chan. He retired from Lotte.' She added, 'Since we recently started dating, I was planning to tell people if they asked, but no one did. I don't mind telling if someone asks.'
Regarding the duration of their relationship, Park So-young said, 'It's not been long, about three months.' She then apologized, 'Sorry, Kyung-chan. I mentioned it without your permission. I didn't tell you.'
Moon Kyung-chan is five years younger than Park So-young. She explained the start of their relationship, 'We knew each other from before, but he was in Busan. After retiring, he came to Seoul, and we met through mutual acquaintances and started contacting each other.' When Bae Sung-jae asked, 'If he's an acquaintance, there must have been a decisive moment,' Park So-young responded, 'When I saw him after a long time, I felt good and thought he was my ideal type. We kept in touch comfortably and met separately, and I found him to be a good person. From then on, I took the initiative.'
Born in 1987, Park So-young debuted as a comedian in 2008 through KBS's 23rd open recruitment.
Born in 1992, Moon Kyung-chan was drafted by the Kia Tigers in the second round of the 2015 draft, 22nd overall. He played as a pitcher for the Kia Tigers, NC Dinos, and Lotte Giants before retiring in 2023. He also participated in the tryouts for JTBC's 'Strongest Baseball' broadcasted last April.
