New Genes plagiarism suspicions are in full swing... Min Hee-jin and Hae-rin reveal bare-faced photos that stand out

Min Hee-jin, CEO of Adore, released a group photo of the group New Jeans without makeup.

On the 22nd, Min Hee-jin posted two group shots of New Jeans members on her SNS.

The photo shows the five members of New Jeans, but they are bare-faced and without any makeup. Except for Minji, whose face is covered with a V, the appearance of the four members feels somewhat different from their appearance on stage, which is surprising. At least Hae-rin attracts attention because of her simple yet neat appearance.

Meanwhile, New Jeans was caught up in suspicions that this new song 'Bubble Gum' was similar to British band Shakatak's 'Easy Sad Than Don' (1982).

The original composer, Shakatak, claimed plagiarism, saying that the rhythm, notes, and tempo were similar. In relation to this, Adore said, "We did not use Shakatak's composition without permission. There was no copyright infringement," and added, "We requested the submission of a credible analysis report. Shakatak responded by saying, “The publishing company (Wide Music Group) has hired a musicologist to conduct a detailed investigation.”
