Lee Young-ae donates 51 million won with her twin siblings

Actress Lee Young-ae and her twin children donated 51 million won to underprivileged children.

Good Neighbors, a global children's rights organization, announced on the 10th, "Actress Lee Young-ae donated 51 million won with her twin children, asking for it to be used for medical treatment for children from vulnerable families in Korea."

According to Good Neighbors, Lee Young-ae decided to donate 50 million won after hearing the story of Cho-eun and Ha-jun, who needed urgent hospital treatment for a rare disease and brain damage, through TV Chosun's special broadcast 'Sharing Happiness Hope Plus'. Lee Young-ae's twin children, Jeong Seung-kwon and Seung-bin, also sympathized with Lee Young-ae's donation purpose and donated 500,000 won each. All donations will be used to cover Cho-eun and Ha-jun's medical expenses.

Lee Young-ae said, "As a mother raising two children, I felt saddened by the stories of the children introduced on TV. I will support Seung-kwon and Seung-bin so that children in financial difficulties do not lose hope."

With this donation, Lee Young-ae was added to ‘The Neighbors Club’, a group of high-value donors of Good Neighbors. The Neighbors Club is a group of members who donate more than 10 million won per year, aiming to realize value beyond sponsorship through special sharing activities and leading the spread of donation culture.

Lee Young-ae married businessman Jeong Ho-young, 20 years her senior, in 2009, and had twin sons and a daughter in 2011. In addition to this donation, Lee Young-ae has donated several times to places in need of help at home and abroad, such as forest fires and war damage.
