New Jeans Minji “IU gave us handwritten letters and lighting gifts”

The group New Jeans (Minzy, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, Hyein) expressed their heartwarming feelings by revealing that they had received a gift from singer IU.

On the 17th, a video titled 'Abby JeansㅣHal Myung-soo ep.183' was posted on the YouTube channel 'Hal Myung-soo'.

MC Park Myung-soo of New Jeans, who was on stage as a guest at IU's concert recently, asked, "I heard that when IU appears (as a guest), they usually give a lot of gifts. What did IU do for you?"

Minji replied, "First of all, I was very grateful to be invited as the first guest," and expressed her gratitude, "It was my first time performing as a guest performer, but I learned a lot. I had a lot of experience with good sound and a 360-degree stage."

When Park Myung-soo reacted as if he was bored with the standard answer, Minji said, “It’s not over yet,” making people laugh. Park Myung-soo welcomed those words and said, “Thank you, Minji.” Hani added, “He suddenly opened his eyes” upon seeing Park Myung-soo.

Minji said, "We recently moved. But we wanted to decorate our new house beautifully, so we prepared pretty lights (for each member)." Park Myung-soo, who heard this, was impressed and asked, “Did they even put lights in each room?” Minji then said, "I was so touched that you wrote a letter to me. Really," creating a warm feeling.

Soon after, Park Myung-soo declared that if New Jeans holds a concert, he will definitely go and "I will make a promise. I will wear hanbok." Minji responded, “It’s okay if you don’t wear it.”

He also talked about the reaction of Minji's older brother, a Kyunghee University student, after NewJeans' visit to the Kyunghee University festival that day. The production team started by saying, "During the Kyung Hee University festival, Minji's older brother was attending Kyung Hee University, and the members of New Genes went to the Kyung Hee University festival. They mentioned her brother there."

Minji said, "By coincidence, I ended up going to a festival at the university my brother was attending, so I asked him. Can I tell you what he's attending?"

Soon after, Minji said, "I asked my brother because I thought it might make his college life uncomfortable if it became public. He said, 'It doesn't matter. Do whatever you want.'" She said that she ended up talking about her brother on stage.

Park Myung-soo asked, "What did your brother say?", to which Hani and Hae-rin aroused curiosity by saying, "That's right, we don't know your reaction. We didn't hear it either."

Minji burst out laughing, saying, "Recently, I was worried, so I asked my older brother, 'Are you doing well in college?' and he said, 'No one recognizes me.'" She continued, "You and I don't look alike. “Not one,” he added.

Park Myung-soo said, “If I were your older brother, I would go around talking about everything.” In response, Minji said, “I heard we talked about it in the military,” making the filming site burst into laughter.
