“In movies, a person’s desire to express something comes together. Main and supporting actors, producers, investors, directors and assistant directors all have desires. When you bring those desires together, something that is not unique to one person emerges, but it is very difficult to combine them. So, I see the filming site as a place for persuasion. “It’s about persuading each other where those desires come together.”

“I want to influence people to be honest with themselves. Being honest with other people can be done if you have a certain amount of courage, but being honest with yourself doesn't seem to be something that can be done simply. You have to look inside for a long time. People say, ‘(Son Seok-gu) I heard him talk and he knows a lot about himself. I looked into myself. He reasoned, ‘If you are honest with yourself, you will gain that kind of courage,’ and then, ‘It seems good to be honest with yourself. I hope you’ll think, ‘I want to try something like that too.’ That's my ultimate goal. “I want to show that through my work.”
