Big Mama Lee Young-hyun won the Korea Arts and Culture Awards in the popular song category.

Singer Lee Young-hyun was recognized for her contribution at the ‘Korea Arts and Culture Awards.’

Lee Young-hyun won the popular song category at the '12th Korea Arts and Culture Awards' held at the National Assembly Museum in Yeouido on the 3rd. Last year, Younghyun Lee held a year-end concert to commemorate the 20th anniversary of his group Big Mama's debut. In February, she released the duet song ‘I Should’ve Said I Love You’ with Park Min-hye.

Lee Young-hyun said through her agency HOENT, "I just did my best on the given task and on stage, but I am amazed and grateful that they gave me a good award. I am embarrassed because I am not used to receiving awards like this, but I want to receive it with a happy heart as it was given to me with a good heart. “We will repay the love you have given us with good songs and activities, so please look forward to our future activities.”

The Korea Arts and Culture Awards is an awards ceremony that annually selects figures from each field of society who have played a pivotal role in the development of popular culture and arts and contributed to the promotion. This year marks the 12th anniversary since it was first held in 2013.

Lee Young-hyun recently joined the E Channel/Channel S entertainment show 'Playing With Sister 2' as a regular member and is meeting viewers.
