Weki Meki's Choi Yoo-jung takes on her first musical challenge
Choi Yoo-jung plans to meet the audience on the stage of 'Hero' (produced by Acom), which opens at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts on May 29th.
'Hero', which Choi Yoo-jung joined, is a work created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Ahn Jung-geun's assassination, and has solidified its position as a Korean original musical since its premiere on October 26, 2009. It deals with the last year before the death of An Jung-geun and captures the unwavering will of independence fighters and the noble spirit of Ahn Jung-geun.
In particular, this 'Hero' is the 10th season and 15th anniversary performance, and Choi Yoo-jung is drawing more attention as she plans to energize the drama with the stable vocal skills she has shown so far and the acting skills proven through numerous works.
Choi Yoo-jung plays the role of Ling-ling, a girl who helps the independence army and doctor Ahn Jung-geun. While attention is focused on his lively charm as it is expected to be revealed to the fullest, expectations are rising about what kind of appearance he will appear on the musical stage as he has shown a new side through many works.
Since debuting with the group Weki Meki in 2017, Choi Yoo-jung has been loved by the public for her vibrant charm in all fields, including singing, rap, and dancing. In addition, he is active as an all-round character by continuing to broadcast a variety of genres, including dramas and entertainment shows.
