Stray Kids Felix donates 100 million won to children in Laos
Stray Kids' Felix continues to have a positive influence with UNICEF.
UNICEF Korean Committee (Chairman Jeong Gap-young) announced on the 18th that it will post a video of the Laos field visit with Stray Kids Felix on the UNICEF Korean Committee's official YouTube channel three times starting from the 21st. ‘UNICEF Login Laos – Stray Kids Felix’, which will be released on the 21st, will vividly contain the various activities and emotions that Felix shared with local children when he visited Laos in February.
Previously, in January 2024, Felix donated 100 million won to the Korean Committee for UNICEF for children in Laos who are having difficulty growing due to poor nutrition and water sanitation, becoming the youngest member ever and the first member of the UNICEF Honors Club in 2024. In addition, he personally visited the UNICEF Laos project site for about a week from February to May and conveyed his warm interest and affection for the children.
Felix provided nutritional status tests and malnutrition treatment meals to children at UNICEF-supported public health centers and schools in the Atapu region of southern Laos, and participated in activities such as hand-washing education, language, dance, and play. The Atapu region is a representative underprivileged area in Laos, with over 2,000 severely malnourished children and suffering from poor drinking water and sanitation issues.
At the end of his visit to Laos, Felix said, "I was able to face the reality of children in Laos that I had not felt when I only saw photos and texts. I believe that all children should be given the opportunity to live a healthy life. Children who grow up with such opportunities become adults and come back again. "It's because I believe in supporting and loving children. I was really happy to be able to convey the love I received from my fans to children through this opportunity," he said.
Meanwhile, the video of Stray Kids Felix's visit to UNICEF Laos can be seen on the UNICEF Korean Committee's official YouTube channel every Thursday at 5 PM starting March 21.
