Son Seok-gu "Comment that is not true, it stabs me in the stomach"

Actor Son Seok-gu confessed that he once got angry after seeing comments that were not true.

On the 22nd, Son Seok-gu met with Ten Asia at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Seoul and conducted an interview, telling various stories about the 'comment unit'.

'Comment Unit' tells the story of what happens when an anonymous informant comes forward, accusing reporter Im Sang-jin (Son Seok-gu) of manipulating online public opinion, who was suspended after writing an article about a large company. Son Seok-gu plays Lim Sang-jin, a reporter who seeks reinstatement after being suspended for writing an article exposing the tyranny of large corporations.

Like the name of the movie, the subject matter of the work is comments. On this day, Son Seok-gu was asked if he looked for comments, and answered, “I look at them all.” He said, "These days, if you don't look at SNS, it's become so common that you're treated like a weirdo. I see it too. When a comment is produced and reaches your eyes, it seems to depend on the person's ability to interpret it."

He continued, “The untrue comments really hit me hard,” and “I was angry when I saw them at the time.”

On the other hand, he said, there were also comments that touched him. Son Seok-gu said, "I think what I do as an actor and an artist is to show myself. I think that by showing myself, someone can express through my acting, 'I can be happy being who I am.' 'Seeing this person, I can see myself too.' “Comments like ‘I need to become myself’ are as good as ‘I’m good at acting’ or ‘I like movies.’ I think it’s my calling,” he said.

‘Comment Unit’ will be released on the 27th.
