Seokgu Son “I try not to look like a selfish reporter”

Actor Son Seok-gu shared his thoughts on playing the character of a reporter.

On the afternoon of the 15th, a press preview and press conference for the movie 'Comment Unit' was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Seoul. Director Ahn Kuk-jin, Son Seok-gu, Kim Seong-cheol, Kim Dong-hwi, and Hong Kyung attended.

'Comment Unit' tells the story of what happens when an anonymous informant appears claiming to have manipulated online public opinion against reporter Im Sang-jin (Son Seok-gu), who was suspended after writing an article about a large company.

On this day, Son Seok-gu said, "There are reporters here too, but I acted while thinking about how to make them look like reporters. What I focused on was that I wanted them not to be seen as selfish reporters who only care about proving themselves." He said.

He added, "As the character leading the movie, I thought about how to build a character that people would want to follow, rather than someone they dislike. It was very sad and cute."

‘Comment Unit’ will be released on the 27th.
