Former Cosmic Girls member Cheng Xiao, controversy over attitude towards filming

The current status of Cheng Xiao, a former member of the group Cosmic Girls, in China has been reported.

Recently, a video of famous Chinese director Guo Jingming (40) scolding Cheng Xiao was posted on Weibo, a Chinese social networking service. In the released video, director Guo Jingming scolded Sheng Xiao, telling her to "become an idol" and "becoming an actor is difficult."

According to Chinese netizens, Cheng Xiao went to his vehicle to change clothes during filming. Later, during the briefing on returning to the filming location, director Guo Jingming angrily said, "You should pursue idol activities," and "Becoming an actor is difficult."

Guo Jingming also mentioned actor Chen Du-ling, who co-starred in the drama. He said that when filming the scene where Chen Du-ling gets wet, he did not change his clothes all day.

After the video was released, controversy arose about Seongso's attitude. A fan who claimed to have been at the filming site explained, "Seongso did not go to the car to change his clothes, but the staff left for a moment to adjust his hat."

Cheng Xiao debuted as a member of Cosmic Girls in 2016. Afterwards, they focused on their activities in China and stopped their domestic activities in the second half of 2018.
