Ham So-won married Jin Jin, a Chinese man 18 years younger than her, in 2017 and has a daughter. In addition, he appeared on TV Chosun's 'Taste of Wife' and was embroiled in controversy over broadcast manipulation in April 2021.

At the time, the production team admitted to the manipulation, saying, "We realized late that some episodes had exaggerated directing." Afterwards, Ham So-won left the program, and the program also took steps to be abolished.
