On the 1st, a video was recently posted on YouTube in which Hankyung, a member of Super Junior, reminisced about his days at SM Entertainment. In the video, Hankyung revealed that he graduated from school at the age of 17 and signed an exclusive contract with SM.

He mentioned that he had the idea of making money quickly due to his poor family circumstances at the time. Hankyung announced that the reason for this was his background in joining SM Entertainment.

He recalled his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment and said, "When I signed the contract, I thought it was the only choice I could make. My father said something like, 'I sold my child.'" Regarding his time as a trainee, he continued to criticize strongly, saying, "There was no other way than to practice desperately. The overall practice system was very good," and "It can be exhausting and miserable. However, the management is just strict."

Many K-pop fans who saw this reacted with displeasure rather than sympathy. One K-pop fan commented, “I gained popularity thanks to Super Junior, but I wish ‘SM Pal’ would stop.”

Hankyung is the person who filed a lawsuit to invalidate the exclusive contract against SM, claiming unreasonable income distribution. Afterwards, he left the group and returned to China to work as an actor.

After leaving the group, there are some people who enjoy the attention of people by ‘being part of the group’. Seungri, a member of Big Bang, attracted attention by mentioning Big Bang and G-Dragon. On the 23rd of last month, many images of Seungri witnessed at overseas events were posted on various online communities and social media.

The released video shows Seungri attending an overseas event and having fun with fans. In the video, Seungri raised the mood at the scene by saying, “I will bring G-Dragon here someday.” They also danced to GD & Taeyang's song 'GOOD BOY'.

Seungri is a person who served prison time for ‘Burning Sun Gate’. 'Burning Sun Gate' refers to crimes in the entertainment industry and entertainment districts that began with the assault at club Burning Sun in late November 2018. Big Bang's Seungri, Jung Joon-young, Choi Jong-hoon, etc. were involved in crimes and went to prison. Seungri was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison. Afterwards, he was released from prison on February 9th of last year.

Chris, a former member of EXO, was involved in a sex crime and was in danger of being castrated. Naturally, the names of groups that were part of the past are also being recalled. On the 23rd of last month, the 16th Beijing City Higher People's Court reported in a work report that Chris' sex crime case is included among the three serious crime cases to be scheduled for the Beijing court in 2023.

Chris was accused of having group sex with two women at his home in July 2018. In December 2020, he was accused of sexually assaulting three women, including sexually assaulting an intoxicated woman at his home. In relation to this, in 2021, Chinese influencer Meiju revealed that in 2020, Chris raped her when she was 17 years old at the time.

In November 2022, the Beijing Chaoyang District People's Court sentenced Chris, who was charged with rape and mass indecency, to 13 years in prison. Chris appealed, but Beijing City's Third Intermediate People's Court dismissed the appeal in November last year and upheld the original ruling. An order was also issued to deport Chris, a Canadian citizen, abroad after completing his entire sentence. China adopts a two-trial system, so the appeal trial is the final trial.

Chris is Chinese-Canadian. He will be deported to Canada after serving 13 years in China. Canada practices chemical castration on sex offenders. Accordingly, it is expected that Chris will also receive the same punishment.
