B1A4 Sandeul, thoughts on winning 3 consecutive wins on King of Mask Singer

The identity of 'Incense', who won the title of King of Singers for 3 consecutive wins on 'King of Mask Singer', was revealed as B1A4's (B1A4) Sandul.

Sandeul first appeared on MBC's 'King of Masked Singer' last December and rose to the 212th, 213th, and 214th King of Singer positions with his clear voice, delicate emotional line, and explosive singing ability.

In particular, Sandeul gave a deep thrill to the judges as well as viewers by selecting various songs such as Jeong Jun-il's 'Hug Me', Lee Seung-hwan's 'How Is Love', and Park Hyo-shin's 'Admiration'.

Meanwhile, 'Incense' Sandeul, who took off his mask for the last time on the stage of Bolbbalgan4's 'You were my world' on the 21st and bid a sad farewell, shared his thoughts and behind-the-scenes stories about becoming the King of Singers for his third consecutive win.

Q. You achieved a record of 3 consecutive wins. Please tell us how you feel.

- I have a lot of regrets that I couldn't show a better side of me, but I'm proud of myself because I think I did it (laughter)

Q. You re-appeared on ‘King of Mask Singer’ for the first time in about 9 years since 2015. Please tell us your thoughts on appearing.

- ‘King of Mask Singer’ is a show that has a special meaning to me because I was with the program when it first started, and I was happy to appear again this time.

Q. The first stage of ‘King of Mask Singer’, which announced the birth of a new singer, attracted attention after the broadcast. How does it feel to be the King of Singer?

- More than anything, I was really happy. I was even happier because it was a moment where I felt like they recognized that all the worries I had been going through were not in vain!

Q. What did you want to show through the ‘King of Mask Singer’ stage?

- “From now on, Sandeul will be your eardrum mate!!” I wanted to tell you through a song rather than words (laughter)

Q. Which stage was the most satisfying and the most disappointing?

- To be honest, I don’t think there was a stage that I was most satisfied with. There was no stage, which was disappointing!

Q. Is there a review that was most impressive or encouraging?

- Everything that senior Yoo Young-seok said was touching and gave me strength. Also, there are times when senior Kim Jong-seo smiles and nods his head while listening to a song, and it was nice because it felt like he was telling me, “You’re doing well!”

Q. Are you disappointed that you were eliminated after three consecutive wins, and how did you feel when you took off your mask?

- I am very disappointed that I was eliminated, but it was a great time because I was able to feel and learn a lot in many ways. And I felt relieved when I took off the mask!

Q. Can you tell us about your future activity plans and say something to the viewers and fans who have loved you?

- As B1A4, we will continue to greet you with good music and stages. And starting in March, we will be back with the musical 'Next to Normal', so please give us your support.
