According to a Ten Asia report on the 18th, the two were first classified into the Army's 5th Infantry Division, where Jin is serving, but as a result of the second classification, they were assigned to an artillery unit under the 5th Infantry Division, a different unit from Jin, where he is serving as an assistant at the recruit training center. was transferred as follows.

Jimin and Jungkook did not become Jin's direct successors. The three men fulfilled their national defense duties at different duty stations under the same division.

Jungkook and Jimin enlisted together on December 12th last year. The two entered the 5th Division Recruit Training Center, completed basic military training, and attended the graduation ceremony on the 17th.

Jimin left a handwritten letter expressing his thoughts on completing recruit training on the fan community Weverse. Jimin wrote, “A little over a month has passed, and there are times when it feels like a long time, and there are times when it seems to pass quickly because Jungkook is next to me.” He also said, "I am spending time with the members on the public phone, asking how they are doing, and Jungkook is also working hard in his military service. All members of BTS are currently serving in the military. Jin will begin his military service in December 2022 and is scheduled to be discharged in June of this year. J-Hope enlisted in April last year. Suga is serving as a social worker. RM and V entered the Nonsan Training Center in South Chungcheong Province on December 11 last year and recently completed recruit training. BTS plans to continue its activities as a complete group in 2025.
