The funeral and burial of actor Lee Sun-gyun, who passed away on the 27th at the age of 48, have been finally decided.

According to the Seoul National University Hospital Funeral Home website on the morning of the 28th, the funeral of the late Seon-gyun Lee was held at 12 noon on the 29th, and the burial site was changed to Suwon Yeonhwajang (Suwon Funeral Home). Originally, the funeral was held at 00:00 on the same day and the burial place was Seonyeong, Buan-gun, Jeollabuk-do, but the final decision was made through discussion.

Lee Sun-kyun's funeral is set up in Room 1 of the funeral hall at Seoul National University Hospital in Jongno-gu, Seoul, and condolences from the film and entertainment industry have been coming for the second day. His wife, Jeon Hye-jin, and the deceased's two older brothers and sister were named as mourners.

On the morning of the 28th, the second day, director Bong Joon-ho visited the funeral. Director Bong, who walked the red carpet at the American Academy Awards together for the movie 'Parasite' (2019), visited the funeral with a sad expression, and actress Moon Geun-young also walked by. Afterwards, actor Kang Shin-il and broadcaster Shin Dong-yeop walked to the funeral to mourn the deceased's death.

Earlier, right after the funeral was set up on the 27th, director Lee Won-seok, who worked with the movie 'Killing Romance', and BA Entertainment CEO Jang Won-seok, who produced the 'Crime City' series, also paid condolences with his wife, actress Son Eun-seo. Sol Kyeong-gu, Yoo Jae-myung, Jo Jung-seok, Cho Jin-woong and others attended the funeral. Among them, Cho Jin-woong and Jo Jung-seok are said to have been very sad and shed tears.

Lee Sun-kyun was found dead in a car in a parking lot near Waryong Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul around 10:30 a.m. on the 27th. Traces of one lightning bomb were found. Lee Sun-kyun was evaluated as having brought comfort to many people through the drama 'My Mister', which aired in 2018. The film 'Parasite' (directed by Bong Joon-ho), released the following year, became a world star by winning the top prize at the Cannes International Film Festival and the American Academy Awards. For this work, Lee Sun-kyun also received the 2020 Screen Actors Guild Award for Ensemble Award in the film category.

At the Cannes Film Festival last May, as many as two leading films were invited simultaneously, including 'Sleep' (director Yoo Jae-seon) and 'Escape: Project Silence' (director Kim Tae-gon).
