At this year's MBC Entertainment Awards, the biggest concern is who will win the grand prize between Kian84 and Jeon Hyun-moo. The trophy that is attracting just as much attention is the Rookie Award. The rivalry between rising stars Dex and Kim Dae-ho also ignited.

The end of 2023 is just around the corner. In particular, attention is being paid to MBC's entertainment awards, which have captured both viewership ratings and topicality from this year's 'I Live Alone' to 'Around the World' series. It will be held on the 29th and will be hosted by YouTuber-turned-broadcaster Dex, Jeon Hyun-moo, and actor Lee Se-young.

Announcer Kim Dae-ho attracted attention by directly revealing his desire for the Rookie of the Year award. MBC's 'Save Me!' aired on the 7th. Kim Dae-ho captured the hearts of viewers with his easy-going charm between an office worker and an entertainer. In 'I Live Alone', he evoked sympathy as he was tired of work no different from any other office worker, while in 'Holmes', he made people laugh. In addition, he is showing signs of becoming a popular entertainer as he joins 'Solo Reunion' and 'Cars to the Future'.

Along with Dae-ho Kim, Dex is being mentioned as a strong candidate for the Rookie of the Year Award. Dex, who is now better described as an entertainer rather than a YouTuber, has made a real mark with the 'Around the World' series. In Season 2, they showed extraordinary chemistry with Gian84 and Pani Bottle, and their travel attitude of not being afraid of challenges and enjoying the local atmosphere gave vicarious satisfaction to viewers.

It wasn't a popularity that would disappear in Season 2. 'Around the World 3', which first aired on the 26th of last month, recorded the highest viewership rating of 7.3% from the first broadcast, and Kian84 and Dex ranked first and second in terms of topicality among non-drama actors. The second episode, in which Dex joined, also continued its excitement by taking first place in topicality.

Dex previously won the Rookie Award at the 2nd ‘Blue Dragon Series Awards’. Attention is being paid to whether Dex, who stood out on OTT and won the Rookie of the Year award, will also be able to win the terrestrial entertainment award.

The strong candidates for the grand prize are definitely Kian84 and Jeon Hyun-moo. Kian 84, the #1 contributor to the box office success of 'Around the World', and Jeon Hyun-moo, the leader of 'I Live Alone' and 'Point of Omniscient Interfere'. It wouldn't be surprising if either of the two received it. Jeon Hyun-moo made a last-minute spurt, saying, "It's not over until it's over. I'm aiming for a turnaround with prolific writing, special appearances in dramas, and a palm oil trip to Taiwan. I'll compete in good faith."
