On the 24th, Choi Dong-seok posted a photo on his social account, saying, "I am grateful to my younger brother who silently stood by my side for a year." He also wrote, "I am grateful for the hand that lifted me up and held me even when I was in deep pain. I will not forget and do well."

Park Ji-yoon and Choi Dong-seok, who began a relationship at the same time as KBS's 30th announcer, got married in 2009 after four years of dating, but their relationship broke up last October. The two are going through divorce proceedings. He has one son and one daughter.

Park Ji-yoon said, “I feel sorry for delivering bad news to those who have watched and cared for me, Choi Dong-seok, and our family for a long time.” He continued, "After much thought, I have decided to proceed with the divorce mediation process with Mr. Choi Dong-seok. Park Ji-yoon left the company in 2008 and is currently working as a freelancer, and will appear in TV's 'Crime Scene Returns', which is scheduled to be released next year. Choi Dong-seok has been the anchor of KBS1's 'News 9' since 2019, but left the news program due to health reasons and resigned from KBS in 2021.
