This is the 9th death anniversary of the late actor Kim Ja-ok.

The late Kim Ja-ok passed away on November 16, 2014 at the age of 63. The deceased, who underwent surgery for colon cancer in 2008, received additional chemotherapy three years later as the cancer spread to the lymph nodes and lungs. Later, in 2014, the cancer recurred and the condition worsened rapidly, leading to his death during treatment.

Kim Ja-ok, born in 1951, worked as an exclusive children's voice actor for CBS. The deceased, who debuted as an open talent in MBC's second public recruitment in 1970, was recognized for her acting skills by winning the Best Female Actor Award in the TV category at the 1975 Baeksang Arts Awards for Kim Soo-hyun's drama 'Daffodil'. He received favorable reviews for his stable acting in 'My Name is Kim Sam-soon' (2005), 'High Kick Through the Roof' (2009), and 'Ojakgyo Brothers' (2011).

In addition to his acting activities, he also attracted attention as a singer. Kim Ja-ok debuted as a singer in 1996 at the recommendation of trot singer Tae Jin-ah, and caused the 'Princess Syndrome' with 'The Princess is Lonely'. Afterwards, she appeared in the 2013 tvN entertainment show 'Sisters Over Flowers', getting closer to viewers and revealing her true self.

The deceased married singer Choi Baek-ho in 1980, but divorced in 1983 due to personality differences. The following year, in 1984, she remarried Oh Seung-geun, a former member of the group Gold and Silver, and had one son. Afterwards, Oh Seung-geun remembered the deceased through various media and shared his sadness and longing with the public and fans.

In addition, actor Kang Bu-ja, who had a special relationship with the late Kim Ja-ok during his lifetime, could not hide his sorrowful feelings while recalling the deceased on KBS 2TV's 'Immortal Songs' and MBN's 'Yesterday'.
