Composer and singer Don Spike, who caused controversy by using Philopon, was sentenced to probation.

On the 9th, the Criminal Settlement Division 13 of the Seoul Northern District Court held a first trial sentencing hearing for Don Spike on charges such as violation of the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes, etc. On this day, the court sentenced Don Spike to three years in prison and five years of probation.

Meanwhile, Don Spike is accused of purchasing about 45 million won worth of Philopon on 9 occasions and administering it 14 times.

Previously, at a trial held in December of last year, the prosecution requested that Don Spike be sentenced to 5 years in prison, confiscate increased fines (evidence used in the crime), complete 200 hours of rehabilitation treatment program, and pay a fine of 39,857,500 won.

In addition, Don Spike is also accused of giving methamphetamine and ecstasy to others seven times and possessing 20 grams of methamphetamine.
