BTS Jimin, Donatella Versace, and Marc Jacobs ‘welcome’ to the luxury fashion world
BTS Jimin is shaking up the luxury goods industry as a fashion icon with global influence.
On the 16th, luxury brand Dior announced that it had selected Jimin as its new global ambassador through its official SNS.
Afterwards, Donatella Versace, the creative director who leads Versace, congratulated Jimin with a 'like' on the post announcing him as a global ambassador, and he met BTS at the 64th Grammy Awards.
Alexandre Arnault, Executive Vice President of Tiffany & Co. and Frédéric Arnault, CEO of TAG Heuer, also welcomed Jimin as the new global ambassador by clicking 'Like' on Jimin's photo released through Dior's official Instagram.
Alessandro Arnault and Frédéric Arnault are the sons of Bernard Arnault, chairman of LVMH, which owns Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., Fendi, Bulgari, Givenchy, and TAG Heuer, and are exerting great influence in the industry.
Vice President Pearly, who is in charge of global publicity for Tiffany & Co., Jessica Chan, another global publicist, Morgan Healy, a global entertainment manager, and Michael Verdi, a brand publicity expert, are also following Jimin's personal Instagram and are attracting attention.
Prior to this, Dior's artistic director Kim Jones and Dior's celebrity relations manager Sam Mauch were the only members to follow Jimin's personal Instagram, predicting Jimin's selection as an ambassador and exciting fans.
In addition, Valerie LeVerichel, global VP of communications at Givenchy, is the only member among the members to follow Jimin's personal Instagram, and Jimin is receiving welcome and attention from the luxury goods industry following his appointment as Dior's global ambassador.
In addition, American fashion designer Marc Jacobs attracted attention by clicking 'Like' on Jimin's Instagram photo with Dior designer Kim Jones, soccer star David Beckham, and Hollywood actor Robert Pattinson.
Meanwhile, Jimin joins the first and only four male global ambassadors in Dior history, and acts as the representative face of Dior encompassing all lines, rather than as an ambassador for each line.
