Lee Chan-won received a commendation from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism
Singer Lee Chan-won received a commendation from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
At the '2023 Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards' awards ceremony held at the National Theater's Haeoreum Theater at 6 p.m. on the 21st, Lee Chan-won was named as a recipient of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism's commendation.
Lee Chan-won, who was unable to attend on this day due to other schedules, said through his official SNS channel, “I am truly grateful to have received a commendation from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism. “I think it’s all thanks to the love and support from our fans,” he said. “I want to tell the fans that I love them more than anyone else, that I truly love them. “I will take this as a sign to work harder in the future and I will work harder to show you my best side,” he said, expressing his sincere thoughts.
Lee Chan-won’s father, who accepted the award on his behalf, said at the awards ceremony, “I am so grateful and happy that Chan-won received such an honorable award. “(Chanwon) was able to come this far because of the fans who care and love him,” he said. “Also, I want to say that I am always grateful to Chanwon and that I love him. He also expressed his affection for his son, saying, “I love you and fighting.”
The 'Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards', which celebrated its 14th anniversary this year, is a government award ceremony designed to raise the social status and creative motivation of popular culture artists and encourage those who have contributed to the development of the popular culture and arts industry.
Prior to receiving the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism's commendation, Lee Chan-won recently won the Best Music Spring category at the '2023 The Fact Music Awards' with the title song 'Lung Lantern' from his first full-length album 'ONE', and is currently working on 'Talk Pa One 25 O'Clock', He continues to be active in broadcasting such as ‘Immortal Songs’ and ‘The Problem Son of the Rooftop.’
