Yoo In-chon "Good energy among young Park Hae-soo and Eun-yeon"

On the afternoon of the 21st, a press conference for the play 'Faust' was held at the LG Arts Center Seoul in Gangseo-gu, Seoul. Actors Yoo In-chon, Park Hae-soo, Park Eun-seok, Won Jin-ah, and director Yang Jeong-woong attended the event.
'Faust' is a reinterpretation of the play completed over 60 years by the great German writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Through Faust's imperfect actions and choices, direction and inspiration for an imperfect life are presented.
In the play, Yoo In-chon plays the role of Faust, an old scholar who studied various subjects throughout his life to the point that many people praised him as a wise man. Yoo In-chon is making a comeback with a work of the same name about 27 years after playing the role of Mephistotle in the play 'Faust' in 1996.
On this day, Yoo In-chon said, "Some of my juniors overly refer to me as their senior. It's not easy to work with them. These days, we don't do much together. I have very good memories of hanging out with young actors during 'Hamlet'."
He continued, "This time, the difference is that even though we are of different generations, we are working together on a project and have different perspectives and methods of expression. As we exchange these things, I also receive energy implicitly and see them doing it, which gives me an opportunity to improve. In that way, “I think this work can be a good design,” he added.
Yoo In-chon said, "I worry a lot. I am not a person with high knowledge and knowledge in the humanities like the real Faust character. There is considerable difficulty in expressing acting while actually imitating. Just as Western culture cannot escape from Christian thought, Goethe 'Faust cannot escape the part related to Christ and the Lord. Is it difficult for an actor to think about whether he has fallen in love with religion to the extent of relying on his body to this extent?'
He also said, "This will be the same for everyone participating, but from my perspective, this character has both good and evil. I think we should try our best to express the various good and evil aspects that all humans have. Have you ever seriously thought about Christ the Lord? “I don’t have one, but I think I’ll definitely believe in the Lord this time,” he said, making everyone laugh.
Meanwhile, 'Faust' will open at LG Arts Center Seoul from March 31st.
