Park Soo-hong, was a real ‘Missing Bird’… Sympathy comes to the fore as parents reveal their shocking true faces

Broadcaster Park Soo-hong was a truly ugly bastard. Although foreshadowing had been seen several times before, the public could not hide their surprise at the sight of the parents who did not hesitate to expose Park Soo-hong by raising their voices in front of the court and reporters. The level of criticism is so raw and explicit that even sympathy for Park Soo-hong is emerging.

On the afternoon of the 13th, the 8th trial of Park Soo-hong's older brother and his wife, who were indicted on charges of embezzlement and violation of the law on aggravated punishment of specific economic crimes (embezzlement), was held at the Seoul Western District Court's Criminal Settlement Division 11 (Chief Judge Byung-chan Moon). At the trial on this day, Park Soo-hong's parents, Mr. Park and Mr. Ji, attended as witnesses and shocked the public by making explicit revelations about Park Soo-hong's private life.

Regarding Park Soo-hong's past relationships with women, his father revealed that he "likes women a lot" and that "he met a young woman and had a child, so his older brother and sister-in-law took care of him afterward." In addition, in relation to embezzlement of funds, he claimed so-called 'payback' in which he withdrew the money that came into his account in the name of salary in cash and returned it to Park Soo-hong.

Park Soo-hong's mother, who appeared for the first time since the legal dispute between Park Soo-hong and her older brother, criticized Park Soo-hong's wife and daughter-in-law, Kim Da-ye. The mother asked for understanding for wearing a hat to court, saying, “I was so angry that I shaved my head at home.” The mother confessed her difficult feelings, but also shed tears, saying, "I was worried because Mr. Kim was young, but I did not stop the marriage. Mr. Kim gaslighted Suhong. I am so angry because I cannot see my son."

In addition, Mr. Kim and Mr. Ji are said to have poured out crude and factually unconfirmed criticisms against Park Soo-hong and his wife, Ms. Kim. In particular, following her strong criticism of her daughter-in-law Kim, Ji did not hide her criticism of comedian Son Heon-soo, who was about to get married.

Although the public continues to criticize Park Soo-hong's parents' crude revelations, sympathy for Park Soo-hong is dominant. The public has many opinions such as, "Isn't Park Soo-hong also a child? How can you say that the eldest son did nothing wrong and only blame Park Soo-hong?", "At this point, aren't they family?", "Let alone the older brother, how can parents do that?"

On the other hand, there are reactions such as, "Isn't it true that Park Soo-hong sued his older brother over money? His parents will be angry," but this is only a small part of it.

In response, junior broadcaster Kim Won-hyo publicly voiced support for Park Soo-hong. On the 14th, Kim Won-hyo publicly expressed his support, saying, "They say parents are their children's mirrors, but Soo-hong has lived his whole life looking at a broken mirror. From now on, live the rest of your life looking only at pretty and wonderful mirrors with your sister-in-law!"

Meanwhile, Park Soo-hong's older brother and his wife are suspected of embezzling a total of 6.17 billion won, including company money and Park Soo-hong's personal funds, in the process of managing Park Soo-hong for 10 years from 2011 to 2021. The next trial will be held on the morning of December 1.
