Yoo Ah-in tests positive for marijuana in urine and propofol in hair

TV Chosun reported on the 23rd that actor Yoo Ah-in (real name Eom Hong-sik, 36) tested positive for 'marijuana' and 'propofol' in a narcotics analysis conducted by the National Forensic Service.

According to reports, the police collected Yoo Ah-in's urine and hair on the 5th and requested an investigation from the National Forensic Service. Previous urine tests showed positive for marijuana and negative for propofol. Propofol also came back positive through a hair test.

A urine test can only identify drugs used within a relatively short period of time, but a hair test can identify most drugs taken within a year. As the urine test came back positive for marijuana, it is shocking that Yoo Ah-in was found to have recently taken marijuana.

The police are investigating whether Yoo Ah-in is a habitual drug user based on the results of the National Forensic Service and his cell phone. The police will soon summon and investigate Yoo Ah-in on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.
