‘Actress of the Year Award’ Tang Wei, a captivating performance that will be remembered for a long time

Chinese actress Tang Wei won the 21st Director's Cut Awards' Best Actress of the Year trophy.

On the 20th, Tang Wei posted a photo with the message, "I received it in the morning~ I was very moved and thankful after hearing the above verse through an interpreter."

The released photo shows the 21st Director's Cut Awards Female Actress of the Year trophy in the movie category with Tang Wei's name and 'Decision to Break Up' written on it.

Tang Wei's trophy reads, 'We give respect and praise to actor Tang Wei, who captivated us with a touching performance that will be remembered for a long time. Accordingly, we give you the ‘Female Actress of the Year Award’ chosen by Korean film directors.”

Director's Cut is an awards ceremony hosted by the Directors Guild of Korea (DGK). At this year's Director's Cut Awards, 'Decision to Break Up' won five awards, including Best Director of the Year, Best Screenplay, Best Male Actor, Best Female Actor, and Best New Male Actor.

Directed by Park Chan-wook, 'Decision to Break Up' is a story that begins with detective Hae-joon (played by Park Hae-il), who is investigating a sudden death in the mountains, and feels both suspicion and interest when he meets the deceased's wife, Seo-rae (played by Tang Wei).
