Director of ‘Doctor Cha Jeong-sook’: “We are a family drama disguised as a medical drama”
On the afternoon of the 13th, a production presentation for JTBC's new Saturday-Sunday drama 'Doctor Cha Jeong-sook' was held at Chosun Palace Gangnam, Seoul. Director Kim Dae-jin, Uhm Jeong-hwa, Kim Byeong-cheol, Myung Se-bin, and Min Woo-hyuk attended.
‘Doctor Cha Jeong-sook’ depicts the life of Cha Jeong-sook, who went from a housewife of 20 years to a first-year resident.
Director Kim Dae-jin said about competing with SBS's 'Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim 3', "I didn't know it would be aired at the same time slot. We will be facing each other for just one day, and I hope both dramas do well." He added, "We are a family drama disguised as a medical drama. “You can watch it even if you don’t know medical terminology. If you don’t like complicated things, you can watch Dr. Cha Jeong-sook. You can watch it comfortably,” he joked.
He then said about actor Uhm Jung-hwa, "Isn't she the top person in both the fields of singer and actor? The more I filmed, the more I felt why she was the best."
‘Doctor Cha Jeong-sook’ will be aired for the first time on the 15th at 10:30 PM.
