General programming channel JTBC bowed its head in relation to the controversy over sexual violence committed by its reporters.

JTBC said on the 14th, "The person in question was immediately excluded from work. The company has begun an official investigation and disciplinary process, starting with reviewing the report they submitted."

He continued, "I would like to offer my deepest apology. We take this issue very seriously, and we will deal with it quickly and seriously."

Previously, it was alleged that two male reporters from JTBC sexually assaulted a female reporter from another company during an exchange reporting program between the Korean and Mongolian Journalists Associations. Starting on the 9th, four domestic reporters reported on the local environment. A sexual assault incident occurred at a dinner party on the afternoon of the 12th, the day before returning to Korea.

The Journalists Association of Korea said, "We were belatedly aware of an unpleasant incident on the ground. We regret the lack of management of dispatched personnel. We have ordered the reporters involved to submit a report for a thorough investigation and added 2 additional cases." “We will do our best to prevent tertiary damage from occurring.”
