Singer Nam Tae-hyun (29), who is about to go to trial on charges of using Philopon, gave an update on his current situation.

Nam Tae-hyun recently posted a video titled "'I am Nam Tae-hyun' second story" on his YouTube channel 'Channel Nam Tae-hyun'.

In the released video, Nam Tae-hyun said, "I am Nam Tae-hyun. I am a singer. But before that, I gave up my personality, and I am a trash person who has a bad history with women, plays music for the sake of music, and even drinks and uses drugs."

He continued, “Even when I look at myself, I feel unfavorable,” and “It’s really painful for me to live like that. I don’t make any excuses. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry to my fans who believed in me, and I’m sorry to everyone who had even a little bit of connection with me. "I'm sorry to everyone who was harmed. I'm also sorry to those of you who are frowning while watching this video." He added, “Mom, I’m sorry.”

He also said about the public criticizing him, "You guys are right. No one grabbed me by the collar and threatened me to live like this. It's all my choice, and I'm still alive to take responsibility for my choices."

He said he thought about making an 'extreme choice' and said, "But isn't it cowardly? Will the people who were hurt by me forgive me if I die? Will it never happen? I don't think so. So I made a choice. I will try to become a different person."

Nam Tae-hyun said, "Once I am alive, I will work hard and reflect as much as I can, and I will do my best to prevent the growing sprouts from living like me and to prevent everyone living in this harsh world from making the same choices as me. “If you try and it doesn’t work, it’s not too late to die.”

Nam Tae-hyun is attending a rehabilitation center called Dark to quit taking drugs. He said, "We say here that in order to quit drugs, you must first become a human being. Of course, there are things that are ruined by taking drugs, but the lifestyle, attitude, way of thinking, everything that I used to live has already changed from using drugs. “I took medicine because I was living as a person who had no choice but to live,” he said.
