Song Hae, who led 'National Singing Contest', one of KBS' signature programs, for 34 years from 1988 to 2022 and communicated with more than 10 million audiences, was loved as the best national MC in name and reality, soothing the joys and sorrows of the common people through his affectionate hosting. Additionally, shortly before his death, he was registered in the Guinness Book of World Records as the 'oldest TV music contest host', standing tall as a figure representing the history of Korean pop culture.

Song Hae, who received awards such as the 'Bold Crown Order of Cultural Merit', 'Korea Entertainment Arts Awards Special Achievement Award', 'KBS Entertainment Awards Achievement Award', and 'Baeksang Arts Awards Achievement Award', is still remembered even after becoming a star by receiving another Achievement Award in the first anniversary of her death. The quality of a legend was revealed. Yang Jeong-woo, the only grandson who received the 'Korea Communications Commission Broadcasting Awards Achievement Award' on his behalf, expressed his acceptance speech by saying, "Thank you very much for not forgetting my grandfather and giving me such a good award.
