A Ministry of Foreign Affairs employee who tried to sell BTS member Jungkook's hat for 10 million won was fined.

According to the legal community on the 3rd, the Seoul Central District Court issued a summary order of a fine of 1 million won to Mr. A, a former passport officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the 28th of last month.

Mr. A posted on a second-hand website that he was selling the hat that Jungkook left behind during his visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in October last year for 10 million won.

In the post, Mr. A said, "BTS made a top-secret visit to the passport office to make a passport and left it in the waiting area. After reporting the lost item, there were no calls or visits for 6 months, so the buyer took ownership."

He then introduced, “This is a hat that Jungkook personally wore, and it is an item that cannot be obtained even if you pay money.”

When the post became controversial, Mr. A deleted it and then handed himself over to the police. Afterwards, the prosecution, which forwarded the case, filed a summary indictment with a fine of 1 million won after deliberation by the Citizens' Prosecution Committee.
