Park Bo-young, ‘continuous good deed’ worth 250 million won over 10 years
Actress Park Bo-young donated 100 million won to a children's hospital on Children's Day this year.
According to her agency BH Entertainment on the 4th, Park Bo-young donated 100 million won to Seoul Children's Hospital through the Children and Future Foundation, a social welfare corporation.
This donation will be used to improve the art therapy environment at the Development Center at Seoul Children's Hospital. The Development Center's Rainbow Arts School, which started in April of this year, is operating a talent discovery treatment education project that discovers developmentally disabled children with musical talent and provides guidance and training to help them develop into capable artists. With this donation, a space suitable for the treatment environment of disabled children will be created by improving the old environment, which is expected to have a positive effect on future treatment.
Park Bo-young's relationship with Seoul Children's Hospital has continued steadily since 2014. Over the past 10 years, we have continued to do good deeds by donating more than 250 million won, including sponsorship of items such as treatment devices, air conditioners, and air purifiers, as well as patient medical support. In particular, in addition to providing financial support, they are consistently practicing good deeds by visiting hospitals outside of their scheduled hours and doing about 120 hours of volunteer work.
In addition, it is evaluated that it has continued to engage in sincere volunteer work, such as helping patients bathe and eat, and providing practical assistance to guardians and hospital staff.
In particular, as an individual donor, we have continued to support large-scale donations for a long period of 10 years, conveying a positive social influence.
Nam Min, director of Seoul Children's Hospital, said, "Children's hospitals are in great need of help because they are mainly hospitalized with unrelated patients and children with multiple severe disabilities." He added, "At the children's hospital, which is in a donation blind spot that is not well known to the outside world, actress Park Bo-young's “A helping hand is like rain in a drought,” he said, expressing his gratitude.
