Mina was criticized for her appearance by her husband Philip Ryu.

On this day, Mina and Philip Ryu visited a brunch cafe and had a light meal. Mina said, "I was planning to go to a good restaurant, but it was still break time, so I went to a nearby cafe. I ended up eating every hour." Mina and Philip Ryu ordered sandwiches, bagels, and drinks.

Afterwards, Mina and Philip Ryu went to a restaurant and ordered pasta. When Phillip Ryu asked, “You already ate the sandwich, so you don’t have an appetite,” Mina answered, “No, I have a lot of appetite. I want to eat more. It’s not enough.” In response, Phillip Ryu pointed out, "Honey, go on a diet. It's serious. Your face."

Also, Philip Ryu looked at Mina and said, “She’s gained weight.” Mina shrugged it off by saying, “Even if I gained weight, I only weighed 1kg.”

Mina married Philip Ryu, who is 17 years her junior, in 2018. This couple attracted attention by appearing on MBN's entertainment show 'Modern Family'.
