Kim So-hyun and Hwang Min-hyun, visual gourmet 'useless lies'

On the 24th, tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'It's Useless Lies' revealed the scene of the script reading that sparked excitement from the start. The warm chemistry of the actors just by looking at them raises expectations to the fullest.
'Useless Lies' is a truth-detecting romance about a liar hunter (Kim So-hyun) who cannot trust people because of his ability to hear lies and a genius composer (Hwang Min-hyun) who hides his unspeakable identity. The sweet romance and chewy mystery unfolding on top of a reality-based fantasy raise expectations for a differentiated romantic comedy. Director Nam Seong-woo, who showed delightful and sensuous directing through 'Liver Living Together', 'Wolsu-Geumhwa-Mok-Sat', and 'Kkondae Intern', took the megaphone and writer Seo Jeong-eun was in charge of writing.
In the script reading that took place that day, actors armed with unique characters such as Kim So-hyun, Hwang Min-hyun, Yoon Ji-on, Seo Ji-hoon, Lee Si-woo, Ha Jong-woo, Park Kyung-hye, Song Jin-woo, and Jo Jin-se, as well as director Nam Seong-woo and writer Seo Jeong-eun, gathered together and showed a tight performance. First of all, Kim So-hyun caught the eye with her perfectly melted look into Liar Hunter 'Mok Sol-hee', where lies are heard. Because she grew up listening to all kinds of lies in the world, Kim So-hyun, who is cynical in everything and finds herself in various situations that are hard to believe even after seeing them, interestingly unravels the dynamic narrative of Mok Sol-hee. Kim So-hyun said, “I was curious about Mok Sol-hee, who couldn’t trust people because of her ability to hear lies. I thought that if I played the character attractively, I would be able to show a new side of myself.”
Hwang Min-hyun took on the role of 'Kim Do-ha', a star composer with an unspeakable secret. Kim Do-ha, a reclusive loner, lives as a faceless composer for some reason. Hwang Min-hyun drew attention by delicately portraying the strange and mysterious Kim Do-ha's reversal. In particular, the process of changing while getting entangled with Mok Sol-hee, the strange girl next door, was completed in a variety of ways, creating excitement. Hwang Min-hyun said, “When I first got the script, I really enjoyed reading it. It's such an honor just to be together. I will also work hard to prepare to show a lot of growth and development.”
Above all, the chemistry between Kim So-hyun and Hwang Min-hyun, who received everyone's expectations, was perfect. Mok Sol-hee, who has lost faith in humans, and Kim Do-ha, a man who is terribly suspicious but does not lie. It is expected that the special relationship between the two and the unique Tikitaka of the two actors, which adds excitement to the narrative, will be another point of observation.
Yoon Ji-on transformed into 'Cho Deuk-chan', the representative of J Entertainment, who knows the identity of Kim Do-ha, and added a unique romance with Hwang Min-hyun, bringing laughter in the right place. Mok Sol-hee's first love and detective 'Lee Kang-min' with a sense of justice was played by Seo Ji-hoon. On the other hand, Lee Si-woo showed off his youthful charm by acting as a live-to-be celebrity, a top solo singer in name and reality, and Dohabari 'Shaon'.
Here, the activity of the scene stealer corps, which is responsible for laughter, cannot be overlooked. Ha Jong-woo wittily portrayed the role of 'Baek Chi-hoon', Mok Sol-hee's bodyguard, who has a charm of Baek Chi-mi as much as his name. Park Kyung-hye, who showed off her unique presence in each work, left a strong impact as 'Cassandra', a superstitious tarot sorcerer. Song Jin-woo exploded into laughter as a composer belonging to J Entertainment and 'Park Moo-jin', who considers Doha as his rival. On the set, he even showed impromptu compositions with his unique sense of entertainment, making the scene a sea of laughter. Cho Jin-se, a master of comic acting who garnered attention with his first appearance in a drama, took on the role of 'Sobo-ro', the president of Yeonseo Bakery, an unintentional soloist, and played the role of a licorice.
'Useless Lies' will premiere in July.
