A staff member was injured while filming a stunt for the movie 'Gladiator 2'.

According to Variety, an American entertainment media, several staff members were injured while filming a stunt scene on the set of the movie 'Gladiator 2' in Morocco on the 7th.

"The accident occurred while filming a planned stunt sequence on the set for the 'Gladiator' sequel, injuring several staff members," said Paramount Pictures, the production company, in a statement. The severity of the injuries was not said to be life-threatening. Paramount Pictures said: "The on-site safety and medical services team acted quickly to ensure that those who could be affected could immediately receive the necessary treatment. All are in stable condition and are continuing to receive treatment."

A total of 6 people have been treated, 4 of whom are currently hospitalized. It is known that all injured staff received burn treatment. The other two were treated and discharged.

The accident occurred near the end of filming, and no cast members were reported to have been harmed.

Earlier, Paramount Pictures announced that 'Gladiator 2' would be released on November 22, 2024. The title of the sequel has not yet been decided, and director Ridley Scott, who was in charge of 'Gladiator 1', will produce it.

The original 'Gladiator', which was released in 2000, won Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Costume, Best Visual Effects, and Sound at the 73rd Academy Awards, and is considered the best box office hit at the time.

Russell Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix played the lead roles in 'Gladiator'. It depicts the process of revenge against Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix) by Maximus Decimus Meridius (Russell Crowe), a Roman soldier forced into slavery. Since Maximus dies at the end of the first film, the protagonist of the sequel is Lucius, the son of Maximus and his lover Lucilla (Connie Nielsen).
