'Indecent performance controversy' Hwasa accused of lewd performance
Hwasa, a member of Mamamoo who was involved in an obscene performance controversy, was accused by a parent's group.
According to the Seongdong Police Station in Seoul on the 10th, Hwasa was recently accused of lewd performance by the Student Parents Human Rights Protection Coalition (Hakinyeon), and an investigation has begun.
The reason why this group filed a complaint against Hwasa to the police is that Hwasa's performance at a college festival last May caused discomfort to viewers. In May, Hwasa went on stage at the Sungkyunkwan University Festival to film the tvN entertainment program 'Dance Singer's Wandering Troupe'. Hwasa has been embroiled in a controversy that some of the choreography she showed while singing 'Don't Give Me' was a bit sensational.
Hakin-yeon criticized, "Hwasa was invited to the Sungkyunkwan University festival on May 12 and appeared. Hwasa acted completely out of context in the name of choreography at the festival performance." They also insisted, "Hwasa's actions are reminiscent of perverted sex and are enough to bring shame to the public who witnessed them.
An official from Hwasa's agency said, "We are checking the facts internally."
